It’s time the story in your head matched the one on paper.

You’ve been obsessing over your manuscript for the past few months. I get it—I clear my desk and do the same.

My editing is the right fit if:

→ You have an idea of what works in your genre aaaand you also know your manuscript isn't quite there yet.

→  Your book is your baby. 😍 And you want an editor who treats it that way.

→ You want editing that goes a touch beyond the manuscript with an eye toward what makes readers pick up, and keep reading your book.

I do things a smidge different:

  • I keep your reader in mind from the first page. Keeping tabs on the story AND on genre conventions. ‘Cause if you're writing to sell, you need both.

  • ✓ A lot of what makes a book work is already living in your manuscript. My job isn't to rewrite your vision — BUT to find what's working, name it,  and make sure your revision amplifies it while nixing what’s broken.

  • ✓ I treat each edit like a collaboration NOT a transaction. That means when your manuscript hits my desk it's the only one there. You’ll get something personal, unhurried, and high-touch. Think: Loose leafs, handwritten notes, coffee on me and a "here's what I think your book needs."

I’m Blair Calloway.
Nice to meet you.

Cue loose leafs, decaf coffee, and someone who loves the edit as much as you love the writing.

I spent a decade as a ghostwriter — which means I've lived inside other people's stories long enough to know that, THAT gap between the book in your head and the one on the page is closeable. You just need the right four eyes on it.

Along the way I picked up a background in marketing and copywriting. But what I'm most known for (and most proud of) is showing up fully for every manuscript that lands on my desk.

So with every edit I bring my story instincts, market awareness, and genuine care for the thing you spent months building.

Signed,

Pen On The Ready
